My name is Darren Kershaw and I have been in business for over 25 years, 15 of those years have been in the event rental
business. I started with a great mentor and one employee and this summer I will employ 80 people.
The past 15 years have been spent building a rental company that has grown and thrived, even during
some tough economic downturns. With my business well established, now my goal is to help others start
their own event rental business.
Joining me in the Event Rental Alliance will allow you to copy my strategy, processes, and business
model as well as build and grow with a group of Alliance members who are like-minded and excited
to take the event rental industry to the next level. Being a part of the first national event rental
brand will give startup companies security and a competitive advantage in a growing market.
My goal isn’t to open an endless amount of rental locations, but to open strategic locations based
on geographical position with limited distance from other locations to facilitate seamless logistics
and inventory sharing operating in competitive markets that allow for sustained growth and the greatest
chance business success. Using the business models, systems, operations, and equipment I have built
over the past 15 years, this becomes a turnkey style operation that you can grow with confidence.
Candidates must be willing to put in considerable work themselves, learn from me, and spend a few
weeks training at our head office in Calgary, AB. Investment requirements will be approximately $200,000
to $300,000, have a desire to be your own boss, make money, work hard and be self-motivated and driven
to succeed. The rest I can help with!
